Taking The Initiative

Isa. 6:1-9

From our text, we discover that there were many creatures in the presence of God when God asked the question, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for Us?’ This question was not directed to anyone in particular but Isaiah stepped out from the ranks to become a voice for God in his generation. He answered. ‘Here am I, send me’ v8. All Christians should take the initiative of presenting themselves to God for service. A study of the Scriptures will reveal some many people who stepped out spontaneously to do the work of God not necessarily waiting for a specific call. We are to make ourselves available at every given opportunity to work for God particularly where and when we will not be noticed for human commendation.

Prayer Point:               I need your help, Lord, to take initiatives and be creative to meet needs in my Church.
