Procedure For Paying Tithe

1 Cor. 16:1-2

Paul Apostle closes his long Epistle with some particular matter that are essential for smooth operation of the Church which we can imbibe from. Among the things he directed is the procedure that the church should use in collecting their gifts for the Christians in Judea. He had issued a similar direction to the church in Galatia earlier. The method he fashioned out was to ensure the easy collection of their contribution. There is no rigid way of collecting tithe. Any method that any Church may apply should entail the following: (i) The procedure should ensure that members are protected from harm (ii) A convenient method to ensure payer, pay their tithe daily, weekly or monthly (iii) Also, they should pay progressively not haphazardly. Tithers should pay where they are receiving spiritual foods only. This is what the Bible recommends.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Pay your tithe progressively to where you are receiving spiritual food.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me to continually pay my tithe to the right place and at the right time.
