Christians sit down and wait for Satan to attack them. Many Christians don’t know how to fight. They know how to sing but they don’t know how to fight.

Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
In those days, kings go to war. No place was free. You are either an enemy or an ally.
“In the spring, when the kings normally went out to war, David sent out Joab, his servants, and all the Israelites. They destroyed the Ammonites and attacked the city of Rabbah. But David stayed in Jerusalem.”

NET says, …when kings conduct wars…
Christians never go to war. They just sit down and defend themselves. But when you become a defender, you have become a loser.
N o matter how well you defend yourself, you will eventually be the loser. The attacker is always at a great advantage and will defeat his enemy.
Say,
I declare war on the enemy.
I declare war on spirits of stagnation, spirits of suicide,
Spirits of blindness and deafness to the voice and directions of God.
I declare war on spirits of poverty
I declare war on spirits of Herod, spirit of Goliath, spirits of Pharaoh that wants to abort my destiny and kill my posterity.
I declare war on spirits of stagnation.
I declare war on spirits of limitation.
As a child of God, you must be battle positioned, battle ready, battle poised.
You must go to war.
Winning souls is warfare.
Getting married is warfare
Staying married is warfare
Raising children is warfare
Living holy is warfare
Serving God is warfare
Breaking through is warfare
Maintaining the breakthrough is warfare.
Satan can hijack precious things from your hands if you don’t fight. If you will experience territorial enlargement, then you must go to war.
1 Tim.6:12
Fight- agonizomai in Greek. It means to enter into a contest with adversaries, with difficulties and with dangers. The things that Christ has accomplished for us on Calvary are only takable and realizable as you fight the fight of faith.
“For where there is a will, the death of the one who made it must be proven. For a will takes effect only at death, since it carries no force while the one who made it is alive.”
Hebrews 9:16-17 NET
The Will of God for your life has taken effect since Christ died.
What is in the will? 3John2; Ps.35:27; Is.3:10; 1John 4:4; 1John 5:4.
Christ has died, so the Will of God is in effect.
Everything in the Will is available and accessible NOW!
However only the violent taketh it by force. Mt.11:12
The way you lay hold on the benefits of Calvary is by fighting.
What is the Fight of Faith?
The fight of faith is using the word of God to change contrary circumstances and situations.
The fight of faith is using the word of God to force situations to comply and surrender and concur to the perfect will of God.
For instance, divine healing is not God’s perfect will for his children. It is Divine Health.
The fight of faith is using the word of God and applying spiritual pressure to force life to go in the direction of God’s plan and purpose.
There are 8 Reasons Why We Fight.
- ENLARGEMENT
- Enlargement. Deuteronomy.2:24. Enlargement means you displace and remove some occupants and occupy their place so your territory is enlarged. This factor is one of the reasons that gave birth to the 1st world war. Hitler wanted to invade Europe so he could turn other nations into the food basket of Germany. He wanted to enlarge his territory.
- If your wisdom, finances, health, peace, blessings, prosperity, anointing, church will be enlarged, then you must fight.
- You must fight weariness, fear, stress, negativity, pressure, tension, tiredness, laziness, weakness, negative voices, pessimism, unbelief, demotivation, despair, discouragement, distress…
2. TAKE BACK WHAT IS YOURS
1Kings 22:3. Satan is a thief. That means he steals. And what he steals can be recovered. John 10:10; 1Sam.17:34-36

- Your prayers and Declarations made in the name of Jesus aRe potent to strike the enemy. Your arrows can go very far.
3. TO SCARE THE ENEMY
Sometimes you must put fear in the enemy, so you fight them. 1 Kings 19:2-3
4. TO PUNISH THE ENEMY
Psalms 149: 6-7
See the words vengeance, punishment, chains, fetters, …
When we really begin to praise God, Satan gets punished.
5. TO RESIST THE ENEMY AND STOP HIS ADVANCEMENT
James 4:7
The word “resist” in the Greek is anthistemi.
It means to set oneself against, to withstand, resist and oppose.
Satan can run away when you resist him.
6. TO GET TO THE TOP, STAY ON THE TOP AND KEEP CLIMBING.
To be blessed, stay blessed and increasing in the blessing,
To stay strong and keep being strong
To stay rich and keep being rich.
Understand that any grounds you recover will be contested by the enemy. If you were sick and got healed, don’t think that Satan has left you alone. No. He wants to reclaim your health.
7. TO DEFEND YOURSELF
When Adolf Hitler decided to invade Europe, many countries simply succumbed to his wishes, including Poland. But there ere some who refused to allow Hitler have his way. Winston Churchill was one of them.
He said;
We shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our island home, to ride out the storm of war and outlive the Menace of tyranny. If necessary for years, if necessary alone.
Those who fail to fight become casualties of war. Don’t sign a peace treaty with the enemy. Satan is heartless, wicked and senseless. 2 Thess.3:1-2
