Despite I Have Given All, I Might Have Given Nothing

1 Cor. 13:3; Lk. 12:33; Matt. 6:19-21; 2 Cor. 9:7

True giving and offering is that which credits your heavenly treasury and it’s a sweet smelling savor to the Lord. A believer may think he is storing much in heaven only to meet bags of ashes. What may cause this? The heart and motive. Any act of giving not done as a result of impulse of agape love and motive to give glory to the Father is zero in currency of heaven. No reward. Any act of giving done to show self-righteousness before people as a giver (Matt. 6:1-34) has no reward. God even respects gifts given in secret than one done in the open (Matt. 6:3-4). Any giving done reluctantly or under compulsion has no reward. Any giving not done in faith has no reward (Rom. 14:23b)

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Do not have your reward now and have none in heaven.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, cleanse my heart of all wrong motives and impurity, that no one takes my crown, that I do not lose my anticipated reward.
