Healthy Confrontation
Gal. 2:11-14
When it was obvious that Peter showed partiality to Jews over Gentiles, Paul confronted him over it! Why did Paul do this? To keep unity in the church. Sometimes, one has no option but to confront someone. The question is, how? None of us was born with the innate ability to do this. It is a skill. It could be learnt through practice and patience so that our relationships will not suffer and our problems can get resolved. For a healthy confrontation, first establish the right purpose for it. Be honest about why you have decided to confront the issue. Remove sentiment. Remember, in effective confrontation, you are looking for a desired outcome and a win-win side. A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city. Prov. 18:19
Point of Emphasis: Keep unity in the church
Prayer Point: God, give me the wisdom that will be sufficient for me to confront the issues of life.
