The Principle Of Prayer
Col. 1:3-12
For interpersonal relationship to go smoothly, the place of prayer is very important. Prayer is a powerful weapon through which God’s desire can be actualized. If any member of the relationship (whether wife, husband, children, friend, neighbour, boss, etc.) is displaying unwholesome character, that is, giving problem to the relationship, believers can turn around the situation through prayer. Always commit the hearts of those you relate with to prayer. If they need to be saved, pray for their salvation. If they need material provision, pray for them, and if you are in a position to assist them, do it. If they need healing, pray for them, etc. If you have a difficult husband or wife or neighbour, commit him or her into God’s hand. Remember that the King’s heart, and as a matter of fact all the hearts of men, is in the hand of the Lord. Like rivers of water He directs it wherever He wills (Prov. 21:1). Invite God through prayers to the challenge you cannot handle in your relationship and it will surprise you what the outcome will be.
Point of Emphasis: Pray without ceasing.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to always commit all people and all things into Your hands in prayer.
