Earn The Trust Of Your Members
1 Pet. 5:1-3
Do you know that there are some ministers of God whose members always support their visions and give towards the church programmes without being compelled? At the same time, there are some whose members are not always ready to go extra mile to give support to their vision. What is the reason? The basic reason is that the first group of ministers are able to earn the trust of their members through their conduct among the people. These are ministers who do what they preach, they identify with the people in their challenges. They are not dishonest. They do not embezzle church money. They do not divert money meant for a specific project to another thing. The second group do not display these good qualities and so their members do not trust them and cannot go all out to support them. Serve God’s people not by compulsion but willingly, not calculating what you can get out of it but sacrificially for the love you have for God. This way you will earn the trust of your members.
Point of Emphasis: Win the trust of others by your godly conduct.
Prayer Point: Help me, Lord Jesus, to be able to do those things that will make people to see and know that I am reliable, honest and that I am a man/woman of integrity.
