Let God’s Word Guide Your Conduct
Jos. 1:8; Col. 3:12-17
The Bible, which is the word of God, is the believers’ life compass. A believer in Christ cannot be better than the level of the word of God he or she knows. Show me a faithful, loyal, committed, dedicated, holy, righteous, vibrant, lovely, lively and humble Christian, and I will show you one who studies, meditates, memorises, and allows the word of God to guide his or her conduct always. It therefore follows that for you to live acceptably to God and to be what He wants you to be in the church and among the generality of the people, you must be committed to the study of God’s word. You must also make conscious efforts to apply the word to all that you do. When God’s word dwells in you richly, and you allow the Holy Spirit to help you in applying the word, you will not fall or be barren in the things of God. You will always maintain good and godly relationship with all people. Therefore, return to serious study of God’s word today if you have abandoned the habit before now.
Point of Emphasis: Good success and prosperity are accessible and achievable by studying and obeying God’s word.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to study my Bible more than ever before and apply its precepts on daily basis to enhance speedy success.
