Unwavering Commitment Exemplified
Neh. 2:11-18
Nehemiah did not do anything for three days after his arrival. His first impulse was to pray. He did not share with anybody God’s plan about the task he was saddled with though he had the backings of the Persian governor’s authority. He did not go ahead by trusting in his own strength. He made a careful and cautious survey of the damage done to the walls by the Samaritans. He said nothing until he could understand the problem from the right perspective. He had good leadership skills that make organisation grow worthy of emulation. He allowed the people to discharge their duties according to their natural gifts and interest. Thus he exhibited unwavering commitment to work. He won the heart and the support of the people. In view of this, the people gave him their loyalty. God has given you leverage in some areas, use them to make your church glorious.
Point of Emphasis: Winning the heart of fellow brethren will enable them to give their total support.
Prayer Point: Help me God, to have unwavering commitment to Your work.
