Christ: The Source Of Peace
Rom. 5:1-2; Phil. 4:6-7
God promised His people in Jeremiah 33:6 that He will bring health and cure and reveal to them abundance of peace. Almost everybody in the world needs peace but this does not come automatically. Anyone who take the step to believe in Jesus and submit to Him will be justified through faith to have perfect peace (Rom. 5:1-2). The situation with many people in the world is like a woman who has intense emotional turmoil, and was asked, “if you could ask God for anything, what would that be? Instantly she answered, “I want to feel at peace”. Many people like this young woman, want inner peace without a relationship with Jesus, the Prince of peace. Many people are slaves to sin, living in opposition to God (Rom 6:16). Sin separates us from God and makes us to live with guilt, stress and shame. Jesus’ mercy provided the remedy (Rom 5:8), it removed sin, guilt and shame, and ended our separation from God. It allows one to experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the world can comprehend. (Phil. 4:6-7). You too can make up your mind today to reconcile with God through the Lord Jesus and you will have the same experience of peace.
Point of Emphasis: Don’t live in opposition to God. Seek Him to experience His peace.
Prayer Point: O Lord, help me to be constantly at peace with You.
