Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) The Church’s Response
- *IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT* – 20 March 2020
Greetings beloved,
To help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) the Australian Government has placed limits on organised gatherings. These limits will impact our service structure, attendance and time. No more than 100 people indoors and 500 in outdoor gatherings.
Due to these new laws (limits), starting from THIS SUNDAY 22/03/20 and until further notice, GOFAMINT Sydney Australia will be having TWO (2) Sunday services to be able to maintain crowd control and abide by the law by not exceeding more than 100 at any of our services.
First Service- 9am-11am.
Second Service- 11:15am-1pm.
One of our primary commitments during this time is OUR health and safety and that of the greater community.
Psalms 91:5 (KJV)
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;
We are living in times when more and more people are being paralyzed with fear due to the ongoing viral outbreak.
As children of the Most High God, we must not allow ourselves to be caught in the web of fear.
Three important things to do at this time;
- Take the necessary precautions. There is ample information out there on what the Coronavirus is and the necessary precautions to take. This will be shared at the end of this briefing.
- Devote yourself to serving God like never before. God has promised to spare those who serve him.
Malachi 3:17 NIV says;
“On the day when I act,“says the Lord Almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.”
Your protection and security is in serving God. Don’t sit on the fence. Invest your life into the kingdom.
3. Plug into God’s economy.
The Coronavirus is affecting global economy as entire nations and organizations are shutting down. The virus is threatening to push the world into a recession. The United States has lost more than $1.73 trillion since the crisis began. No doubt this will have a negative impact on lots of people.
What’s the way out for you as a child of God? It is to obey Jesus words in Mt.6:19;
“Don’t store treasures for yourselves here on earth where moths and rust will destroy them and thieves can break in and steal them. But store your treasures in heaven where they cannot be destroyed by moths or rust and where thieves cannot break in and steal them.”
How do you store up treasures in heaven?
- Consistent tithing
- Consistent giving
This is the time you need to plug into God’s economy. That’s the only way out of this disaster.
Finally, refuse to fear. If anything, this virus is driving many to fear and panic.
But God tells us in his word, Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Corona Virus- What You Should Know
Corona virus is large in size where the cell diameter is 400-500 micro and for this reason *any mask prevents its entry.
The virus does not settle in the air but is grounded, so it is *not transmitted by air*.
Coronavirus when it falls on a metal surface, it will live 12 hours, so *washing hands with soap* and water well enough.
Corona virus when it falls on the fabric remains 9 hours, so *washing clothes* or *being exposed to the sun for two hours* meets the purpose of killing it.
The virus lives on the hands for 10 minutes, so putting an *alcohol sterilizer* in the pocket meets the purpose of prevention.
If the virus is exposed to a temperature of 26-27 ° C. it will be killed, as it does not live in hot regions. Also *drinking hot water and sun exposure* will do the trick
And *stay away from ice cream and eating cold* is important.
*Gargle with warm and salt water* kills the tonsils’ germs and prevents them from leaking into the lungs.
Adherence to these instructions fulfills the purpose of preventing viruses.
