Break Up Your Fallow Ground
Hos. 10:12-15
Many people within and outside the Church will like to hold on to Jesus with one hand while holding on to their sin with the other hand. They forget that Jesus came to save them from their sins and not in their sins. The fallow ground is a plot of land that has not been farmed for several years. There will be much weed on it; there will be stone in it. For it to be farmed profitably, it is necessary to work upon the land – to take out the weed and the stone that would choke the plant sown. The fallow land represents the unrepentant heart of men. For revival to come, sin must be identified and taken out; all manners of ungodly and unprofitable living and desires must be discarded. Revival cannot occur in the midst of spiritual filth.
Point of Emphasis: Break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord.
Prayer Point: Father, purge us of all spiritual filth and make us ready for Your coming.
