Bread And Wine As Emblems

Matt. 26:26-29

During the inauguration of the Lord’s Supper, two elements were crucial and important and they were the bread and the wine. Some people have the teaching that the bread in question is Jesus’ real body and the wine, His real blood. But this opinion is false. Both the bread and wine are symbols or emblems signifying His body and His blood. This is the reason why ministers pray on the ordinary bread and wine that Jesus should enter into them and turn them into His body and blood indeed, so that they will be able to do the work of power in the lives of those who take them by faith as symbols of Jesus’ body and blood.

Point of Emphasis: The bread represents Jesus’ body and the wine represents His blood.

Prayer Point:            Help me to take the bread and wine at the Lord’s Supper by faith as representing Jesus body and blood and not as ordinary food.

LE PAIN ET LE VIN POUR EMBLEMES

MATT. 26:26-29
