Our Hope Is Not Only In This World

1 Cor. 15:12-22

The reason why some Christians are careless about their spiritual lives is that, like the Corinthian Christians, they are not convinced about the truth of the Bible. They are doubting whether those things they have been hearing, like the resurrection of the dead, are true. They are then living their lives for this world alone. But Paul told those believers that if they have put their hope in Christ only in this world, they are the most pitiable among the men that are living in the world. Our hope should be in the fact that, irrespective of the suffering, sorrow, pain, weeping, anguish, of the present world, a time is coming when we will be raised into life everlasting.

Point of Emphasis: Jesus in you, the only hope of the world.

Prayer Point:            Lord, help me to have hope and trust in You and Your word.

NOTRE ESPERANCE N’EST PAS SEULEMENT DANS CE MONDE

1CO. 15 :12-22

La raison pour laquelle certains chrétiens sont insouciants de leur vie chrétienne est qu’à l’instar des chrétiens de Corinthe, ils ne sont pas convaincus de la vérité biblique. Ils doutent si ces choses qu’ils apprennent, comme la résurrection des morts, sont vraies. Ils mènent ainsi leur vie rien que pour le monde. Mais Paul dit à ses croyants que si c’est dans cette vie seulement qu’ils nous espèrent en Christ, ils sont les plus malheureux des hommes. Notre espérance doit être dans le fait que, indépendamment de la souffrance, de la peine, de la douleur, des pleurs, de l’angoisse de ce siècle présent, car un temps arrive où nous serons ressuscités pour la vie éternelle.

Point essentiel : Jésus étant en toi, le seul espoir du monde.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à avoir espoir et confiance en toi et en ta parole.
