Praying in One Accord
Acts 1:12-15
The promises of God are available to all believers who truly key into the promises and prayerfully claim them. Jesus promised the disciples that He would send the Holy Spirit to them, after which they would receive power to preach the gospel all over the world. The disciples were in the upper room and continued together with one accord in prayer and supplication, men and women alike.” When the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place” (Acts 2:1). It is always wonderful for brethren to dwell together in unity (Ps. 133). In those days, the number of the disciples was multiplying and they were preaching with boldness, not fearing any man. They received the power of the Holy Spirit and many signs and wonders were performed through them. They received answers to their prayers. The Lord said: Truly I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them by my father which is in heaven. As a member of the body of Christ, it is important to pray together with other members. Praying in one accord with the church yields great results.
Point of Emphasis: Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.
Prayer Point: Lord, unite Your church, cause us to pray in one accord.
