Good Name Is Better Than Gold
Prov. 22:1-8
Your reputation and character are more important than any earthly treasure. In some ethnics, names were given to describe someone’s character. It seems their practices are borrowed from the Bible. For example “Jesus” means God is my salvation; while ‘Malachi’ is “my messenger’ etc. In respect of your status, you will be known for something in life. Some people will be known for courage, truthfulness, love and some for their vices. What will you be known for? Good name cannot be bought or sold. Your most valuable possession and aspiration will determine what you will be known for. You can determine today to build a good name for yourself. It is not too late.
POINT OF EMPHASIS: A good name is to be chosen than great riches (Prov. 22:1)
PRAYER POINT: God, help me to develop a good name for myself.
