Forgive Those That Hurt You
2 Cor. 2:3-11
Forgiving others and overlooking faults is an act that some find difficult to do especially during conflict. It is perhaps the hardest part of kindness. But this is what God expects us to do. Bear it in mind that God can use conflict to encourage and comfort others. The pain you suffer as a result of someone infringing on your right though may be hurting, know that unforgiveness causes division while forgiveness brings unity and unity brings peace. Adopt Paul’s admonition in today’s text. God has given you an unusual but way to respond to conflict in unusual and effective way. Others may wonder and give you credit on how you did it. This may give you the opportunity to preach the gospel to the people you have forgiven.
Point Of Emphasis: Forgive those who hurt you in an unusual and effective way that will make others wonder how you did it.
Prayer Point: Lord, I pray for Your grace to naturally do things that I find difficult to do.
