God Judges Between Sheep And Sheep
Ezek. 34:17-24
We live in a very competitive world where we are trained to get ahead at any cost. The rivalry creates friction between people, even within the same congregation. The strong ones take advantage of the weak ones. Often the winner takes all, while the loser is just waiting on the fringe for his turn. Rivalry sometimes turns into battle. God is interested in how we relate with one another. He wants the strong to be interested in the welfare of the weak and not just in his own welfare alone. In the congregation, or the society at large, we are our brothers’ keepers. When the responsibility of caring for one another is neglected, God will call those who are strong and who oppress the weak into account. God judges between the sheep and the sheep – those who oppress the others will be judged.
Point of Emphasis: God is interested in how we relate with one another and will judge those who oppress the poor.
Prayer Point: Father, give us full understanding of how You want us to relate with those around us.
