Damnation Through First Adam, Eternal Life Through Second Adam
Gen. 3:14-15; Rom. 5:12-19
The deception that occurred in the Garden of Eden, that gave the door to sin, death, corruption and curse upon mankind was caused in part by the first Adam (Gen. 3:6,14,15) sin gained active entrance power into the human race. This made sin that resulted to death to be transmitted into the life stream of human race. Human being inherit a moral corruption, impulse toward sin and evil. This resulted to physical and spiritual death. As Adam was the beginning of humanity so is Christ the beginning and representative head of a new humanity. In Romans chapter 5, Paul proved the supreme adequacy of the redemption provided by Jesus Christ to neutralize the effect of sin on human race. The effect of Christ’s death and resurrection brought grace, justification and life to all mankind. This provision makes the church of God glorious. Individual needs to believe in Christ and receive grace, life and the gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ (verse 17) to gain access to eternal life.
Point of Emphasis: Those who receive grace, life and gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ are true member of Christ glorious church.
Prayer Point: Give me grace God to enjoy the new life in Christ and live in righteousness throughout my life time.
