Let The Strong Help The Weak

Rom. 15:1-15

God made the strong and also the weak. Like the prophecy about Jesus which He also fulfilled, as His children and disciples, the strong must also bear the infirmities of the weak, the bruised reed must not be broken and the smoking flax must not be quenched (Matt 12:20). We must consider these; not to trample upon the weak but encourage them, and bear with their infirmities. The strong (in resources, faith and knowledge of God) must bear with those who are weak in these regards. If someone speaks evil of you and ill-treats you, take it as their weakness and pity and minister strength to them by treating them with love. Christians must please one another for even Christ pleased not Himself. The self-denial of our Lord Jesus Christ is the best answer to any argument on selfishness of Christians. Jesus preferred our benefit before His own ease and pleasure. Christians must please their brethren though not by serving their wicked or ungodly will and consenting to the ruin of their souls.

Point Of Emphasis: The self-denial of our Lord Jesus Christ is the best answer to any argument on selfishness of Christians.

Prayer Point: Please dear Father; remove every trace of selfishness from my life in Jesus’ name.
