Self-Denial

Lk. 9:23-26

The Bible says “No one engaged in warfare entangle himself with the affairs of this life that he may please him who called him as a soldier” (2 Tim. 2:4). Christians must follow the Lord Jesus Christ sacrificially, on daily basis. We must make a decision either to satisfy our selfish desire or deny self to please God. In order not to end in disappointment and loss, your goal of living should be to live in the will of God, be in fellowship with Jesus and renounce your own selfish way. These things can only be achieved through self-denial. Pay the price to get the prize.

Point of Emphasis: Take up your cross daily and follow Christ.

Prayer Point: Help me Lord Jesus to renounce my selfish way and follow You whole-heartedly.
