Ask According To God’s Will

1 Jn. 5:13-14

In verse 13 of our text today, John made the purpose of his writing known. He affirmed to the people of God with Holy Spirit inspired and authoritative assurance of faith, that God’s people receive answer to their prayers when asked according to God’s will (verse 14). Our prayer shows whether we truly submit to the will of God or we are using Him to achieve our selfish motive. Believers know God’s will when they purge their hearts from every pre-conceived selfish motives. Therefore, study to know His will from the Scripture and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you. Some prayers are not answered these days because they are not in accordance with God’s will. Every prayers will be answered if they are asked in accordance with the will of God. Stop wasting your time on prayer that God will not answer. Pray according to God’s will.

Point of Emphasis: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us (verse 14)

Prayer Point: By the grace of God, I will not ask anything that is not according to God’s will. Help me Holy Spirit to be guided by You in my prayer.
