There Is Reward For Faithful Workers

1 Pet. 5:4; 1 Cor. 15:58

It is God’s design that those who have dedicated their total life to the Gospel should live by the gospel (1 Cor. 9:14). However, some people have hidden under this privilege to embezzle church money, saying within themselves that they are receiving part of their rewards here on earth. Such people are not faithful and should not expect any other reward from God. The Bible says that God is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6). God will not owe anyone. He will pay everyone according to his or her work in the vineyard. Peter asked Jesus, we have left all and followed you, what are we going to have in return? Jesus told him, in this world, he would have a hundred fold of all that he had given and in the world to come eternal life (Matt. 19:27-29). However, the reward is not just for anybody. Only faithful workers for the Lord will be rewarded when the Chief Shepherd (Jesus Christ) comes. If you are faithfully doing His will, don’t be discouraged, be steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in God’s work, knowing fully well that your labour is not in vain in Christ.

Point of Emphasis: Only faithful workers will be rewarded by Jesus.
