Slander Against God’s Ministers

Amos 7:10-17

The devil often raises up people like Amaziah, the priest of Bethel, to bring false accusation against ministers of God. Sometimes it comes in form of outright lies against a minister, or in form of twisting his words to appear sinister, or to impute wrong motives or meanings to the minister’s actions. Such false accusation can even come from a respected “man of God” like Amaziah, the priest of Bethel. The intended result of the accusation is to silence the minister being accused, who is declaring the true counsel of God to the people. Why do they do this? Jesus’ answer is “the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil”. Before you relay that negative statement about a minister to another person, check to confirm whether it is true or not. Instead of broadcasting it, it is better to pray for the minister.

POINT OF EMPHASIS: Falsehood propagation against a minister of God is done by agents of Satan.

PRAYER POINT: Father, arise to defend all Your ministers who are being falsely accused.
