Maintain Cordial Relationship In Your Home
Pro. 5:18; Eccl. 4:9-12; Exo. 20:12
From the elementary definition, the family consists of father, mother and their children. This definition portrays the nuclear family, but we understand that in some cultures of the world, some of the extended family members may also join the nuclear family. Whatever the case may be, all the members must relate together through talking, playing, eating, taking decisions that affect the family together, sharing the good and bad times together, etc. However, all these activities must be properly coordinated and guided by God’s word to ensure there is peace and harmony in the family. Responsibilities must be shared, and each member must contribute his or her own quota to the family’s economy. Parents must provide for the children and the latter must honour the former. As a member of your family, ensure that the cord of love and peace in the home is not broken from your end. Do all to maintain God’s will in your home.
Point of Emphasis: Your family is all you have on earth to enjoy, guard it jealously.
Prayer Point: Lord, help us to strengthen allow the cord of unity and peace of our family.
