The Principle Of Endurance

Gen. 13:1-11

The story of Abraham and Lot in the passage of today reveals the need for endurance on our part as believers to sustain interpersonal relationship with others. It was Abraham that God called, but as he responded to the call, he allowed Lot to go with him. God blessed both of them to the extent that the land they were dwelling in could no longer contain them. As would be expected, the herdsmen of both men had been fighting. If the situation was not properly handled by Abraham through endurance, they would have separated on a bad note and the relationship would have been marred. You may be facing similar situation in some of your relationship with others by being on the receiving end. God is expecting you to endure and work towards amicable resolution of the situation.

Point of Emphasis: Your endurance may be taken for foolishness, but God will use it to lift you up.

Prayer Point: Lord, give me the grace of endurance so that the bond of interpersonal relationship will not be broken from my side.
