Live God’s Word
Ps. 119:1-6
God promised to bestow His blessings on those who chose to live according to His word and directives. (Verse 1). We must, therefore, continue to ask God for the grace needed to live according to the standard of His word and will. As Christians, we are supposed to walk in the law of the Lord. This is to be the difference between Christians and unbelievers. As Christians, we should hold ourselves to a much higher standard than that of the world. The Word of God, i.e. the Bible, is that standard. To do this, a Christian must continually seek to know and understand the Word of God. This standard should be applied to our day-to-day lives- our personal relationships, interactions with believers and unbelievers, and in business dealings etc. It is the knowledge and obedience of the Word that enables a Christian to make conscious decisions to live a life that pleases God; a life devoid of iniquity. Those who walk in the law of the Lord will find it easy to please God.
Point of Emphasis: The Word of God is the standard for all Christians.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to seek You with my whole heart and continuously walk in Your laws.
