Patience And God’s Wisdom Needed
Gen. 16:1-16
Sarah was of good age and, it seemed God’s promise to make her mother of many nations was far from fulfilment. She lost patience and decided to solve the problem her own way. She became self seeking and manipulative. She felt she had waited long enough and attempted to fulfil God’s will through Hagar, her Egyptian maid. Are you using your own self effort to profer solution to the conflict you are facing or the one in the church? Are you not struggling to settle conflicts rather than doing things in God’s way? The Bible’s view of resolving conflict is to approach it in God’s way.
Point of Emphasis: Don’t think that handling issues in your own way is more logical than God’s approved standard.
Prayer Point: Help me, oh Lord, not to lack the patience and wisdom to resolve conflicts.
