Show Others Your Expectation

Matt. 7:7-12

There are so many things we can see as the Spirit of God makes the word new upon every contact we have with it. That the portion we are reading in verse 12 started with “therefore” implies a lot, it is predicated on how God plans to compensate you irrespective of how people treat you and that is enough to do what is right and always. Treat others as you expect them to also treat you. If somebody commits adultery with your wife, you won’t be happy. So you should have no business with another man’s wife. If someone violates your daughter you will feel bad. So don’t violate another man’s daughter. If you are cheated in business, you will feel offended. The same way another person feels when you are the one cheating on them. So don’t cheat in business. Have the just treatment and right measures as the word of God enjoins. Don’t do to another person what you will feel bad about if someone does it to you. Be very truthful first to yourself. Treat others the way you will like to be treated by them and by so doing, our world will become a better place.

Point Of Emphasis: Do unto others as you expect them to treat you.

Prayer Points: Grant me grace today, O Lord, to live my life in a way to please You.
