Imitate Me As I Imitate Christ

1 Cor. 10:30-11:1; 1 Tim. 4:12

In developing a solid relationship in the Church, it is the expectation of Jesus that the leaders should teach and lead by example. Good leaders must be able to match their words with actions; they must do what they say and practise what they preach. They must not be like the Pharisees who tell people to do what they say but not what they do. They must follow the footsteps of Jesus in what they do. They must be examples of believers in words, conduct, faith and love to others. These are the qualities that are missing in the lives of many leaders in the church who have allowed hypocrisy and all sorts of unprintable things to be rampant in the body of Christ. How many leaders and Christians can boldly and truly say like Apostle Paul that people should imitate them as they also imitate Christ? Do you resemble Christ in all areas of your life? Will Christ speak, act, react and judge the way you do given the same situation and circumstance? Think on these things and make amend where necessary.
Point of Emphasis: Let other see Jesus in you and in all you do.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to follow the footsteps of Jesus in all areas of my life.
