Divorce is a tragedy. ‘For I hate divorce’ say’s the Lord, the God of Israel. ‘To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty’ say’s the Lord of heaven’s armies. ‘So guard your heart do not be unfaithful to your wife’ Mal.2:16. NLT. Moses in the passage of today commanded that a man should give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away. He thus permitted divorce. This was just because of the hardness of the people. Critical issues like: Divorce, Marriage, Resurrection. (Matt. 22:31), Sabbath. (Matt. 12:3) were compiled together by the Pharisees and the Sadducees to confront Jesus Christ to put Him to test. Jesus was always referring to the Scripture for final resolution by saying ‘Have you not read’. (Matt. 12:3; Matt. 22:31). ‘It was not so in the beginning.’ Believers too should follow suit. The Holy Bible should be consulted as the final arbiter for any critical or confusing issue. What the Bible says about your case is the final and not what the Doctor or people say.
Point Of Emphasis: Consult the Bible for any critical or confusing issue. It has the final say.
Prayer Point: Help me, o Lord, to always remember Your word and to always overcome by Your word any time the tempter comes to put me to test.
