UNDERSTANDING INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
MEMORY VERSE
Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind’. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself’ (Matt. 22:37-39) NKJV

Love God With Your All
Deut. 6:4-5; Matt. 22:37-38
In some relationships, you do not need to give your all to maintain them. Once you are able to fulfill your own part of the bargain, it is considered good enough to keep the relationship going. However, in your relationship with God, you need to give your all. You need to serve, worship, honour and be committed to God with all your heart, soul and body. The totality of your being must be involved. The simple reason for this is because He is your Creator and Maker, who created you for Himself (Pro. 16:4). He gave series of what you should do to make the relationship work in Exodus 20:2-11, but you may not be able to do all these if you do not love God genuinely and sincerely. Therefore, the key factor that will assist you to constantly be in relationship with God is to love Him with all of your life and being and with whatever resources He has put in your disposal. You must also relate well with the people of God whom you are co-habiting with.
Point of Emphasis: To be in good relationship with God, have genuine and sincere love for Him.
Prayer Point: Help me Lord, to love You genuinely more than all the precious things of the world.
