The Mystery of Redemption
Rom. 1:1-17
The starting block in the Christian race is the understanding and acceptance of the good news of Jesus Christ. Jesus declared, “I am the way, the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me”. Christians are often criticised as being narrow minded by maintaining that salvation is only through Jesus Christ. Man forfeited his right to eternal life when he sinned in the Garden of Eden. For a just God to accept man back, He needs to provide for a way of atonement for man’s sin. The wages of sin is death; it is a sinless person that can pay the wages by dying for sinful man. Angels cannot die and so cannot pay the wages. Jesus became man, died on the cross and was resurrected the third day. Through His death, the penalty for sin was paid so that anyone who believes in Him would no longer pay the penalty for sin. No one else has the qualification or has paid the price to redeem man besides Jesus.
Point of Emphasis: Without the death and resurrection of Jesus, man would have been doomed for eternity.
Prayer Point: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for dying to set me free from eternal damnation.

LE MYSTERE DE LA REDEMPTION
RO. 1 :1-17
Le point de départ dans la course chrétienne est la compréhension et l’acceptation de la bonne nouvelle de Jésus-Christ. Jésus déclare : « Je suis le chemin, la vérité et la vie ; nul ne vient au père que par moi» Les chrétiens sont souvent critiqués d’être bornés de ce qu’ils maintiennent que le salut n’est que de Jésus-Christ. L’homme perdit son droit à la vie éternelle quand il pécha dans le jardin d’Eden. Pour un Dieu juste d’accepter l’homme en retour, il a besoin de fournir une voie d’expiation pour le péché de l’homme. Le salaire du péché, c’est la mort ; c’est un homme sans péché qui peut payer le salaire en mourant pour un homme coupable. Les anges ne peuvent pas mourir et ne peuvent pas ainsi payer le salaire. Jésus devint homme, mourut sur la croix et fut ressuscité le troisième jour. Par sa mort, l’amende pour le péché fut payée afin que quiconque croit en lui ne paie plus l’amende pour le péché. Personne d’autre n’est qualifiée ou n’a payé le prix de rachat de l’homme à part Jésus.
Point essentiel : Sans la mort et la résurrection de Jésus-Christ, l’homme serait à jamais condamné.
Axe de prière : Merci Seigneur Jésus de mourir pour me libérer de la condamnation éternelle.
