For Theirs Is The Kingdom of Heaven

Matt. 5:3-12

In the sermon on the mountain, Jesus mentioned some of the attitudes of those who will have the kingdom of heaven as their possession. The first group are the poor in the Spirit (v.3). They are people who recognise their spiritual poverty and their need of a Saviour and who ask Jesus to save them and be their Lord. The second group is those who are pure, inwardly and outwardly (v.8). This is holiness, also not negotiable. Lastly, in the passage are those who are experiencing persecution because of their righteous stand (vv. 10-12), not only will they have heaven as their possession but their reward therein will be great.

Point of Emphasis: Heaven is for those who are ready to pay the price.

Prayer Point:         Lord, strengthen me to measure up to Your qualifications for heaven.

CAR C’EST A EUX QU’APPARTIENT LE ROYAUME DES CIEUX

MATTHIEU 5 :3-12

Dans le sermon sur la montagne, Jésus fit mention de quelques-unes des attitudes de ceux qui auront le royaume des cieux pour bien. Le premier groupe est ceux qui sont pauvres en Esprit (v.3). Il y a certaines personnes qui reconnaissent leur pauvreté spirituelle et le besoin pour eux d’un Sauveur et qui demandent à Jésus de les sauver et d’être leur Seigneur. Le second groupe est ceux qui sont purs, intérieurement comme extérieurement (v.8). Cela est la sainteté qui n’est pas négociable. En dernier lieu, nous avons dans le passage ceux qui subissent la persécution en raison de leur prise de position droite (vs. 10-12) qui non seulement auront le ciel pour bien mais leur récompense là-bas sera grande.

Point essentiel : Le ciel est pour ceux qui sont prêts à payer le prix.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, fortifie-moi pour être à la hauteur de tes qualifications pour les cieux.
