Jesus’ Hint On The Lord’s Supper

Jn. 6:48-61

When Jesus was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum, He told the disciples and those who heard Him that He is the Bread of Life that came down from heaven and that anyone who eats His flesh and drinks His blood will have eternal life, belongs to Him and abides in Him (vv. 54-56). Initially, many of the disciples did not understand and regarded it as “hard saying” (v. 61). However, we now understand that it is an ordinance of identification with the Lord and only those who participate in it are sure to belong to God and have eternal life. Have you been eating and drinking the flesh and blood of Jesus?

Point of Emphasis: Whoever eats Jesus flesh and drinks His blood has eternal life.

Prayer Point:            Lord, help me to regularly participate in the Lord’s Supper.

LE CONSEIL DE JESUS SUR LE REPAS DU SEIGNEUR

JEAN 6 :48-61         

Quand Jésus prêcha dans la synagogue à Capernaüm, il dit aux disciples et à ses auditeurs qu’il est le pain de vie qui est descendu du ciel et quiconque mange sa chair et boit son sang aura la vie éternelle, lui appartient et demeure en lui. (vs. 54-56). Au départ, beaucoup de disciples n’avaient rien compris et le considéraient comme une ‘parole dure’. (v.61). Cependant, nous comprenons maintenant que c’est une ordonnance d’identification avec le Seigneur et seulement ceux qui y participent sont sûrs d’appartenir à Dieu et d’avoir la vie éternelle. Manges-tu et bois-tu le sang et la chair de Jésus?                             

Point essentiel : Quiconque mange la chair de Jésus et boit son sang a la vie éternelle.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à participer régulièrement au repas du Seigneur.
