Raised To Live A New Life

Rom. 6:4-9

After the immersion, two other steps remaining include being brought up out of the water and walking out of the water into the dry ground. The raising up from the water symbolised being resurrected from the dead just as Christ did. This gives up the hope of future resurrection with Him, for if we be dead in Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him (v. 8). Also as we walk out of water, we are to walk in the newness of life. Our old account sins have been washed away by the water and we must not go back to them again. We must not serve sin again for we have been delivered from it.

Point of Emphasis: A baptised believer is a new creation.

Prayer Point:            Help me Lord, to live and walk in newness of life in Christ.

RESUSCITE POUR VIVRE EN NOUVEAUTE DE VIE

RO. 6:4-9  

Apres l’immersion, deux autres pas qui restent incluent le fait d’être élevé de l’eau et de sortir de l’eau sur une terre sèche. L’élévation de l’eau symbolise être ressuscité des morts comme Jésus l’a fait. Cela nous donne l’espérance d’une future résurrection avec lui car si nous sommes en Christ, nous croyons que nous vivrons aussi avec lui. (v.8). De même que nous sortons de l’eau, nous devons marcher en nouveauté de vie. Notre ancien compte a été emporté par l’eau et nous ne devons plus y retourner. Nous ne devons plus servir le péché car nous en avons été délivrés.                           

Point essentiel : Un membre baptisé est une nouvelle créature.

Axe de prière : Seigneur, aide-moi à vivre et à marcher en nouveauté de vie en Christ.
